At New Galilee, we want you to know God, the one who loves us all, and the one we love, because we know that the more you get to know Him, the more you will love Him too.

 

As a member of our church, you will also have a like-minded, intentional community around you that will encourage you and help you grow.

 

We believe that growing closer to God and others leads to understanding your purpose of making disciples of Jesus.

 

Disciples of Jesus are simply people who follow Jesus, are being changed by Jesus, and are committed to the mission of Jesus, which is to make disciple-makers. (If you are thinking, 'infinite disciple-making loop' here... you're getting it.)

We are striving to become a church that makes disciple-makers.

MISSION

As part of the disciple-making process, we are leading people to connect with God, connect with others, and connect with their purpose.

VALUES

The Bible is the foundation for who we are and everything we value. His Word, along with the Holy Spirit, informs and influences our relationships with God and each other, our generosity, our authenticity, and our compassion for those Jesus died for(everyone).

WHAT WE ARE BUILT ON

New Galilee was, and is, based on the Restoration Movement that was started by a group of people who wanted to 'restore' Biblical truth in the church.

 

The goal is to break away from denominations and man-made rules or decrees and follow only what is written in the Bible. The belief is, "no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible."

 

We take the Word of God and put it into practice because we love Jesus (John 14:21). We strive to train and equip believers to become disciple-makers who are as much like Jesus as possible.

 

OUR STAFF

Brian Diel

Pastor

Brian is the Pastor of New Galilee Christian Church. He is passionate about preaching the good news and believes following Jesus is meant to be an adventure. Brian is convinced that if everyone took the time to get to know Jesus, they would experience that same sense of adventure. 

 

Brian and Melissa have four kids and are empty nesters (and they are lovin' it! Shhh! Don't tell their kids! Lol!). Brian enjoys spending time with Melissa, playing golf, watching movies, and playing with his amazing grandchildren. He loves the St. Louis Cardinals (even when it's hard to, like this year!) and is still VERY bitter that two NFL teams have left St. Louis, leaving him without a team to root for!

Mary Schneider

Administrative Assistant

Mary has been at New Galilee for a few years and was baptized here. These past few years, she has learned more about God's love for us and how He's not 'mean and scary' as she had thought. Because she has been on both sides of knowing and not knowing Him, she is passionate about helping others get to know Jesus and the truth of His love the way that she has. 

 

Mary and her husband Troy have two boys-Elliott and Zeke, a Rottweiler named Thor, and a pitbull named Bailey. Mary is a creative person who is always looking for new hobbies to try and things to make. She is the coordinator for NGKids and has recently started homeschooling her boys, so she is always in 'teaching mode' and never says no to coffee!
